About the Event
ATCM Midlands: Bringing Property into Local Partnerships
When: Tuesday, 14th May, 10am to 4pm
Where: Solihull, B91 2SW
The closure of Ted Baker stores is the latest reminder that town centres continue to face pressures to evolve.
The retail market continues to pose challenges with some former Arcadia and Debenhams units still empty. The office market has its own woes with WFH still causing disruption. The high cost of business rates, fast moving business models and the difficulty of dealing with old property all pose challenges for a range of stakeholders.
With planning deregulation and fragmented ownership, the need for partnership across the property, local government, business and community is compelling. Without this, there are likely to remain huge barriers to coordinated town centre evolution. This meeting of ATCM Midlands will discuss exactly this.
This meeting is open to all involved in the management of town centres to discuss shared challenges and the opportunities for collaboration between key stakeholders going forward. High Street Accelerators and members of Revo are welcome to join the conversation.
