The UK Government has committed £3.6 billion pounds to England’s town centres in an attempt to regenerate high streets. This includes a mix of funding packages such as the Future High Streets Fund and the Town Fund.
The backdrop for this are critical issues that will change the economic development landscape such as the end of the Brexit transition period and business rates reform which will be covered in this meeting.
The final meeting for ATCM Midlands for 2020 will be policy focussed, assessing Government policy and the impact on town centres at the fabulous Tudor Hall in Newark. The Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government and local MP, Robert Jenrick, has been invited.
